Synopsis

Will their past determine their future?
Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down . . . and now he’s trying to do it again.
Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.
When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?

{Rating} 5/5 - I loved it!

{Review}
"There's a moment in every person's life, a point in time that will alter the course they are on, the path they are traveling, forever." (page 1, line 1)
I loved Nash. I wept, swooned, rejoiced and smiled as Saint and Nash found their way to a happily ever after.

Nash. I love him. I adore him. He's my new favorite fictional guy. Sweet. Brooding. Devoted. Hot. Tender-hearted. I ached for him as we saw him with his horrible mother - not that she deserves that title - as he deals with Phil's illness, as he struggles with a new relationship with a girl who has her own baggage.

I was so excited that we finally get to see his flames, the tattoo that peaks out the collar of his shirt - and how Saint obsesses about seeing it - if only the book came with accompanying photographs.

Saint. She's kind, gentle, a nurturer, but like everyone else - especially the Marked Men characters - she's a bit screwed up. She can't see beyond her past, of her feelings of inadequacy, of years of being hurt by cruel words. I liked Crownover's focus on her inner beauty, on her goodness as she struggled with her image and her lack of self-confidence.

The drama between Nash and Saint, what happened in their past, as mentioned in the synopsis -  I expected it to be much more dramatic. However, to Saint it was a big thing, it caused a hurt so big that it even years later she still feels that pain. The baggage of her past, of his present family issues, of her insecurities, lead to an emotional rollercoaster of a relationship for Saint and Nash but I enjoyed watching them fall.

Part of what I love about the Marked Men series is the message of a family brought together not by blood but by love and how they support and kick each other in the butt when they need it, a family that Phil started. And that family is moving forward with their lives - the wedding! the baby! and the series has moved forward with it, with new characters, new drama, I can't wait to see what happens next!

Though Nash is book four in the Marked Men series, it can be read as a standalone but believe me, you'll want to buy the first three books because this series is just that good.
