This week I'm obsessed with 'Almost Lover' from A Fine Frenzy
"Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
Should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do"
Lyrics via Metrolyrics
This week I'm obsessed with 'Taking In Water' from Jessie Ware
"Holding on forever to keep you
To keep from slipping too deep
If you want to escape you don't need to
Just look for me
I'm taking in water for you, my love
For you I'll take the blue away
I'm taking water my breath I'll remember
I'm taking water for you
You picked up the light
The spectrum back to turn to white
Too bright to be seen
Wish the beautiful boy was me
Never alone, sky's a different shade of grey
Making you glow, the colours dance around you"
This week I'm obsessed with 'Boom Clap' by Charli XCX
Boom clap
The sound of my heart
The beat goes on and on and on and on and
Boom clap
You make me feel good
Come on to me come on to me now
Boom clap
The sound of my heart
The beat goes on and on and on and on and
Boom clap
You make me feel good
Come on to me come on to me now
This week I'm obsessed with 'Rather Be' by Clean Bandit
"If you gave me a chance I would take it
It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it
Know with all of your heart, you can't shame me
When I am with you, there's no place I rather be
No, no, no, no place I rather be
No, no, no, no place I rather be
No, no, no, no place I rather be
This week I'm obsessed with 'Lightning in a Bottle' by The Summer Set
We're catching lightning in a bottle
Don't give a **** about tomorrow
Yeah we're dancing in the backseat
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Yeah were rolling with the thunder
Now take a breath we're going under
We're getting busy on the backstreets
We don't need gravity here in the afterglow
Here in the afterglow
Here in the afterglow
This week I'm obsessed with 'Girls Chase Boys' by Ingrid Michaelson
All the broken hearts in the world still beat
Lets not make it harder than it has to be
Oooooh its all the same thing
Girls chase boys chase girls
Chase girls chase boys chase boys chase girls
"Heaven and Hell were words to me
When my time comes around,
Lay me gently in the cold, dark earth,
No grave can hold my body down,
I'll crawl home to her"
This week I'm obsessed with 'Shatter Me' ft. Lzzy Hale by Lindsey Stirling
"I pirouette in the dark
I see the stars through me
Tired mechanical heart
Beats until the song disappears
Somebody shine a light
I'm frozen by the fear in me
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me
So cut me from the line
Dizzy, spinning endlessly
Somebody make me feel alive
And shatter me!"
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist
Like it doesn't exist
I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry
I'm gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier
I need that to be enough for you
Need that to be enough for you
Cause it's enough for me
It's enough for me
I'm I suppose to give up everything I am
Just to make you happy
I thought I was the one you
Always wanted me to be
It turns out I'm just little old me
I'm just little old me
And that's fine by me
Cause I, I am lovely
Just the way that I am
Oh yes I am,
Yes I am lovely
The way that I am
'Cause I feel lovely lovely
I am lovely
Are you sure you wanna play this game?
Are you sure you wanna play it?
The only thing worse than a hater
The only thing worse than a hater
Is a traitor
A traitor
A traitor
You put a knife out in my back
Killed any history we had and now it's war
War
This week I'm obsessed with 'Safe and Sound' by Capital Cities
"I could lift you up
I could show you what you wanna see
And take you where you wanna be
You could be my luck
Even if the sky is falling down
I know that we'll be safe and sound!"
This week I'm obsessed with 'My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark' by Fall Out Boy
"All the writers keep writing what they write
Somewhere another pretty vein just dies
I've got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see
That you're the antidote to everything except for me
A constellation of tears on your lashes
Burn everything you love
Then burn the ashes
In the end everything collides
My childhood spat back the monster that you see
My songs know what you did in the dark
So light em up, light em up, light em up
I'm on fire
So light em up, light em up, light em up
I'm on fire"
This week I'm obsessed with 'Love Don't Die' by The Fray
"If I know one thing, that's true
It's that I'm never leaving you
And you don't say much, yeah, that's true
But I lose it when you do
Don't let them tell no lie
Love don't die
No matter where we go
Or even if we don't
And even if they try
They'll never take my body from your side
Love don't die "
