Picture Perfect by Elisabeth Grace
(Limelight #2)
Publication date: March 2014
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance
Being the daughter of a big-city mayor, twenty-one year old Skye Summers has giant shoes to fill in her first real job out of college. With the public spotlight on her family, and her dad’s expectations running high, she jumps at the chance to work side-by-side on an important project with her sexy new boss.

Playboy entrepreneur Landon Steele has built a successful entertainment PR firm and broken more than a few hearts along the way. He’s counting on his enthusiastic new assistant to help him expand his business into LA… until he discovers she’s a pampered rich girl who’s in the public spotlight as much as his famous clients. Still, he agrees to give her a chance, and soon the two are heating up the bedroom as well as the boardroom.

But when Skye’s ex-boyfriend threatens to reveal a dangerous secret from her past, her job, relationship with Landon, and her father’s career are suddenly all on the line. Will she be forced to leave Landon? Or will she pursue her heart, regardless of the cost?

{Rating} 4/5 - I really liked it!
{Review}
"I stared at his face, knowing with every fiber of my being that I had to leave him." (page 1, line 1)
I was hooked from the very first page, from the first 'meeting' - talk about a first impression - and couldn't put the book down as Skye and Landon flirted, faced a lot complications and fell in love.

I liked Skye. She's smart, kind, generous. She's the kind of girl you want to have as your best friend. Landon is a good guy. He's driven, hardworking. He's the guy you want to have at your back when your world crumbles.

I loved Skye and Landon together, the slow and steamy build to intimacy - all the flirting and sexy innuendos - but it's not easy. There are so many reasons why their relationship is complicated; the boss/employee relationship, her father's political aspirations, exes, and a disastrous bout in the limelight. But when they're together it's sweet and steamy and lovely and intense:
"The way he was looking at me and tenderly holding my face in his hands, I'd never felt as cherished as I did right in that moment - my face held in his hands and Landon looking at me like I was his treasure.

"I've never been happier, you know. Never," he said and somehow managed to make me feel even more treasured than I did a moment ago." (location 2522)
I enjoy Grace's writing style, her pacing, the dual POVs, the way she gets us into her character's heads and feel what they do.

I also really liked book one in the Limelight series, Rumor Has It, and we get to see the main characters of Rumor Has It, Ellie and Mason, in Picture Perfect. They are still going strong, still in love, trusting each other, compromising. I'm a big fan of this series and am very excited to read the next book in the series, Collateral Damage.
