Quick reads that capture the holiday spirit

Dream a Little Dream - 4/5 - a cute story with lots of Christmas themes: second chances, homecomings, forgiveness, getting what you really want. Loved the grand gestures.

Every Year - 4/ 5 - the joy of Christmas, staying up too late working on presents for the kids, being with family, being thankful for each other. Loved the 'every year' tradition. Want to read more about these characters.

Silent Night - 2/5 - spoiler -- leaving her kid? really? Couldn't get into this story.

Have Yourself a Messy Little Christmas - 4/5 - Likable characters, I liked the banter and the chemistry.

A Family for Christmas - 3/5 - I liked Ilena, how strong she is after a horrible loss, how she's ready to jump back in and fall in love. I liked Jared too, but - spoiler - I just didn't see them having a happy life together. Jared had a point, Ilena was willing to move for her husband but not for him. And though she was happy there, he wasn't, he wasn't challenged professionally. And when she meets his family?
