Super 6 Sunday (3) Six Books I’m Thankful I Took A Chance On

http://bewitchedbookworms.com/super-six-sunday

This week's prompt: Super 6 Books I’m Thankful I Took A Chance On

#1 The White Rabbit Chronicles -- Alice in Zombieland & Through The Zombieglass by Gena Showalter

The beginning was depressing so I almost didn't keep reading but I'm so glad I did. Ali, Cole and zombies. Ali is kick ass, Cole is all bossy alpha male, they kick zombie ass. And Kat. Kat is the best friend a girl could have. As she'd tell you she's made of awesome.

#2 The Prophesized Series by Kaitlyn Hoyt --

Hoyt self publishes so I wasn't sure what to expect but I'm so glad I picked up Blackmoon Beginnings. I love these books. The characters are fabulous, Elevator Shenanigans make me laugh out loud and now I'm impatiently waiting for the fourth book, the conclusion to the series, which releases in just a couple of weeks.

#3 The Lunar Chronicles by

The Spindle Cove series (or anything) by Tessa Dare. I love Dare's writing, her strong, spunky, independent heroines, her flawed but devoted heroes.

What about you? What's on your list?

Super Six Sunday (2) Favorite Supernatural Creatures

Super Six Sunday is an original bookish meme created from Bewitched Bookworms and inspired by “Top Ten Tuesday” from The Broke and The Bookish
This week's Super Six is Favorite Supernatural Creatures. Mine are (in no particular order):

1. Shifters/Werewolves - mates and strength and passion - so much to love

2. Mages/Witches - magic!

3. Vampires - BDB. Enough said, right?

4. Demons - never thought I'd add that in as a favorite but I discovered the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter - they've got that same vibe as the BDB, with the honor and total devotion to those they love but with a big ole' helping of demon curses.

5. The zombie slayers in the White Rabbit Chronicles also by Gena Showalter (because these zombies are EVIL) - and I say that being able to leave your physical body and see and slay zombies counts as supernatural. And I love Ali and Cole.

6. The 'others' such as: The Svatura from Abigail Owen's books (they have gifts like shapeshifting (into a dragon! among other forms), mind reading, teleportation, etc.

& the Dynari (well, Wallace who is a Dynari) and Cole when he's not being assCole

& because apparently no list is complete without Daemon Black - the Lux

What about you? Who are your favorite supernatural creatures?

Super Six Sunday (1) 6 Favorite Book Couples

Super Six Sunday is an original bookish meme created from Bewitched Bookworms and inspired by “Top Ten Tuesday” from The Broke and The Bookish
This week's Super Six is my 6 Favorite Book Couples. They are, in no particular order:

1.

Daemon Black + Katy Swartz
Lux series by Jennifer L Armentrout
"But no matter where I went, what I was running from would still be with me—Kat. She wasn’t just back in the house, in that bed. She was with me now, inside me. And there was no outrunning that.”
― Jennifer L. Armentrout, Obsidian
2.

Avery Shaw  + Grayson Kennedy
The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram
“Somewhere between the shower and the Red Bull I fell in love with you, Aves. I’m talking epically. There is no coming back from a fall like mine.”
― Kelly Oram, The Avery Shaw Experiment
3.

Perry + Aria
Under the Never Sky series by Veronica Rossi
“In the sounds of the night Aria heard footsteps, far off and faint, but she recognized them instantly.
She shot into the darkness, letting her ears guide her. She followed the crunch of his feet on stones and small twigs, coming faster, louder, as his walk became a jog, then a run. She chased the sounds until all she heard was his heartbeat and then his breath and his voice, right by her ear, telling her, in tones as warm as fire, exactly the words she wanted to hear.”
― Veronica Rossi, Under the Never Sky
4.

Anna Oliphant + Etienne St. Clair
Anna and the French Kiss series by Stephanie Perkins
“For the two of us, home isn't a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.”
― Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss

5.

Tempe Walsh + Brig O'Brien
Hot Stuff by Flo Fitzpatrick

6.

Fitzwilliam Darcy + Elizabeth Bennett
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
“Her heart did whisper that he had done it for her.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
